About Us
Our process
Freedom Maids was started in 2006 by Karen and Maury Hammond, Spring residents for the past 14 years, with a mission to provide clean and healthy environments for people and their families. We’re busy with our business as well as the business of raising our four daughters and enjoying every minute (well, almost every minute!) of it. We plan to be in the area for a long time to come.

With Freedom Maids, you always have the comfort of knowing your house will be regularly cleaned by knowledgable, professional staff -- no matter what. We understand that dependability is key. Freedom Maids is a complete home cleaning service, with customer service and attention to detail that are guaranteed.
As such, we can afford to be flexible. An example of this is the fact that we do not have contracts. We have done just fine over the years and have many long-term customers despite not having this feature in our business.
A word about pricing
I like to say that, as an independent business (not a franchised entity), we are
perfectly positioned from a pricing standpoint between the individual that cleans a few homes themselves and the large, national franchise outlets (you know who they are).
We do not attempt to compete on a price level with individuals who clean a few homes themselves. If you have an individual who cleans your 3,000 square feet home for $50 a week, I say congratulations to you and hold on to that person for dear life. Tip them well and often, give them Christmas bonuses and gifts to their kids on birthdays because you are one lucky hombre. If they 1) are reliable 2) are professional 3) don’t steal from you 4) do not break valuable items 5) have a business services bond 6) have commercial liability insurance of at least $1 million then you, my friend, have struck gold. Masoltov. If one or several of the points 1-6 do not apply to your current cleaning provider I strongly urge you to consider a change to Freedom Maids.
As for the national franchise outlets, we simply do not have to compete with them on price. They have franchise fees, marketing fees, and geographic limitations that force them to charge higher rates to cover their fixed costs. We simply operate at a lower cost so we can afford to charge less while giving up nothing in terms of the value and professionalism you deserve.
Value
There is simply nothing the franchise stores can offer that Freedom Maids can’t do just plain better. Need professional cleaning? We have been doing it for years and have the references to prove it. Need to speak with management? Call Karen or Maury, the owners, and if you don’t get us right then, we call you back in two minutes or at the most 2 hours. Need to change your cleaning schedule? Done. Need special services? We’re there. Have a concern about how something was done at your house? Tell us and we’ll correct the issue with our team members and confirm it was done right after the next cleaning.
